Athritis – what is arthritis?

Arthritis is a group of diseases that include damage to the joint body. Arthritis are the leading cause of disability in the population older than 65.

About two hundred different diseases can cause arthritis in different ways, when the most common impressions of arthritis are of osteoarthritis (osteoarthritis) and rheumatoid arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis). Diseases that cause arthritis can be autoimmune diseases, diseases of the decline of crystals in the joints against various infectious diseases including infectious arthritis. Osteoarthritis can develop following physical trauma or infection in the joint or against the use of multi-joint or old age.

Arthritis joints classified by number and location of joints involved in inflammation. The first division is arthritis affecting one joint (Munueratrits, monoarticular arthritis) compared with arthritis affecting several joints (Poliaratrits, Polyarticular Arthritis).

Arthritis affecting the number of nodes classified again to those affecting four joints or less of the limbs (Peripheral oligoarticular), arthritis affecting more than four joints of the limbs (Peripheral polyarticular) and arthritis affecting the spine (Peripheral with axial involvement).

Diagnosis of arthritis

Joint pain diagnosis distinguish between pain and joint pain resulting from other buildings and other pain and inflammatory pain.

Arthritis Diagnosis begins by taking a comprehensive anamnesis Mberrat the types of symptoms, severity and time of their appearance and location. Arthritis common symptoms are pain, stiff joints, fatigue and joint instability. Symptoms Symptoms analysis to diagnose the problem allows, such as severe pain within a few hours in one joint can indicate Gout or pain at rest stringent effort considering that indicate a mechanical problem (such as osteoarthritis).

Includes physical examination painful joints and looking for other signs (such as heat rash) can indicate systemic problems. Seeking joint testing different symbols as signs of inflammation (swelling, redness, local warmth and tenderness), structural changes in adjacent joints and appreciate the active and passive ranges of motion of joints and quality. Identification Ckerptecioat (sense or sounds rough friction joint) can facilitate identifying such a structure damaged joint.

Other relevant tests are blood tests, joint fluid and pumping simulations. Blood seeking various factors that may indicate a systemic disease or certain arthritis. Simulations allow identification bony changes as soft tissue ossification, erosion, loss of profits cysts appear Articulated. Joint synovial fluid extraction allows to detect the presence of excess fluid and check the fluid itself for signs such as bleeding or laboratory signs of turbidity and different.]

Treatment of arthritis

Treatment of arthritis depends on the diagnosis and finding the cause of inflammation. Common treatments include physical therapy arthritis and exercise and various medications. Drugs can be targeted symptoms such as pain relievers, non-steroidal inflammation inhibitors corticosteroids or directed to certain diseases such as drug suppresses the immune system or those that reduce blood uric acid level (for Absigadon).

In some cases the last solution, there is replace the damaged joint artificial joint.

What is osteoarthritis?

Posted by Yaniv Levari in Joint pain treatment... | 03.30.2011 - 5:49 pm

What is osteoarthritis?

If you’ve been diagnosed with osteoarthritis (OA),  you’re not alone. This chronic disease affects some 27 million Americans. OA is characterized by the breakdown of cartilage – the part of a joint that cushions the ends of the bones and allows easy movement. As cartilage deteriorates, bones begin to rub against one another. This can cause stiffness and pain that make it difficult for you to use that joint. Osteoarthritis can also damage ligaments, menisci and muscles. Over time OA may create a need for joint replacements.

There are two types of OA – primary and secondary. Primary osteoarthritis is generally associated with aging and the “wear and tear” of life. The older you are, the more likely you are to have some degree of primary osteoarthritis. However, not everyone gets it – not even the very old. That’s because OA is a disease, and not part of the normal aging process. Secondary osteoarthritis, in contrast, tends to develop relatively early in life, typically 10 or more years after a specific cause, such as an injury or obesity.

Osteoarthritis occurs most often in knees, hips and hands.  Other joints, particularly the shoulders, can also be affected. OA rarely affects other joints, except as a result of injury or unusual physical stress.

The pain and stiffness of osteoarthritis can make it difficult to do daily activities including your job, play sports or even get around with ease. That’s why it’s important to learn all you can about this disease, how it affects you and how to live with it – a process called self management.

Signs and Symptoms

Usually joints affected by osteoarthritis ache or become painful or stiff first thing in the morning, or during or after use. They may also be stiff after periods of inactivity. It’s important to remain physically active despite any initial discomfort you might feel. Exercise keeps joints moving, which helps them stay lubricated. It also builds strength in the muscles surrounding the affected joint, so they can support it.

Chondroitin – An Unnecessary Debate?

Chondroitin – An Unnecessary Debate?

Chondroitin is said to help in joint pain treatment as it supposedly helps the formation of the molecules that help in the repair of the cartilage that pivots the movement of any joint. However, there have been some issues on this very matter.

Although the oral ingestion of chondroitin is supposed to increase cartilage formation, studies have not proven this to be the case. People have not showed increase in cartilage formation in any joints found in the body even with oral chondroitin supplements. However, on the bright side, people that do take chondroitin have somehow showed fewer arthritic symptoms and lesser pain than those who do not. Baffling as it may sound, this phenomenon is quite true. Although the studies for chondroitin were conducted in only two to three months, the patients experienced relief and improvements similar to patients on NSAID drugs. The advantage of chondroitin over NSAIDs is that chondroitin does not have side effects like gastrointestinal problems and even bleeding. Moreover, NSAIDs have shown some evidence of actually progressing arthritis instead of hindering it. Chondroitin does not do this even though chondroitin does have a few side effects, which are nowhere near as problematic as the ones caused by NSAIDs.

Chondroitin is still an early joint pain treatment solution but it does indeed show some promise. All we have to wait for are long-term studies and then chondroitin would be lot more used for joint pain treatment. Even if it may not produce the repair molecules, people do get relief from consuming chondroitin.

Addressing the Joint Pain Problem with Nutritional Supplements

Addressing the Joint Pain Problem

with Nutritional Supplements

Taking care of our bodies is one of our primal responsibilities as we carry out our day-to-day activities. This is the reason why routine exercise and intake of nutritional supplements is recommended so that we always stay healthy and in shape. However, there are times when our health is impaired incase of an accident, an infection, or old age. In this context, we are going to focus on joint pain and joint pain treatment with nutritional supplements.

Join pain can generally be described as discomfort in the joints caused by stiffness, soreness or an inflammation. It is hard to reach a conclusive diagnosis of what exactly causes joint pain without a medical examination. It could be injury caused by trauma to the joint, an infection or a genetic disorder. When it is a degenerative or chronic disease, like rheumatoid arthritis (RA) or osteoarthritis (OA), the joint pain treatment courses are more complex. This is mostly because there is no joint pain treatment that will result in complete recovery. There are some kinds of joint pains that fade away with time, like those caused by improper posture especially while lifting of objects, and others take sometime to disappear completely, like dislocations. To accelerate the recovery process, you can go for joint pain treatment with nutritional supplements.

While NSAIDs might be used for joint pain treatment, prescriptions for them need to be made by a doctor. However, when you want something more natural, then consider joint pain treatment involving nutritional supplements. These take a more natural approach and therefore have no side effects. Reports indicate that nutritional supplements for joint pain treatment are successful in restoring joint health and recovery.  However, to get the right nutritional supplements, you have to look at the biochemical compounds they are based on.

A Detailed Look at Glucosamine for Joint Pain Treatment

A Detailed Look at Glucosamine for Joint Pain Treatment

An amino sugar that is biosynthesized in the body, glucosamine is a precursor in the formation of glycosaminoglycans which are compounds used in the formation of cartilage. Since the quantities of glucosamine produced do not suffice when it comes to formation of glycosaminoglycans, enough cartilage is not produced to maintain smooth mobility and flexibility at the joints. This can be compensated by taking glucosamine supplements that accelerate the formation of cartilage.

As a pain reliever in joint pain treatment, glucosamine works to replace the worn out cartilage, which in turn alleviates the pain. This joint pain treatment does not work on the pain receptors directly like an analgesic, but the results achieved are more or less the same. By helping in reducing the degeneration of cartilage, the effects achieved are more long-term than frequenting the use of analgesics per se since they only postpone the pain instead of ridding it completely.
Conclusive evidence does suggest success with joint pain treatment when glucosamine. Results are not immediate, since the glucosamine has to be incorporated into the processes of forming cartilage. Thus, effects can take a couple of weeks to register. But past that stage, the inflammation in the joint and the pain goes away. As long as there’s continued intake of glucosamine, then the joints remain somewhat close to normal. If the joint pain treatment is stopped, joint pain and inflammation is not experienced for at least a couple of weeks. It’s easy for someone with a sprain on the ankle to let the pain go away on its own, but when you have osteoarthritis, joint pain treatment with glucosamine becomes necessary.

Treating Your Joints to Health with Glucosamine

Treating Your Joints to Health with Glucosamine

Joint health is very important in maintaining flexibility and uninhibited mobility. But this kind of lifestyle is not always guaranteed when there are genetic or mechanical factors predisposing us to joint diseases. While most of us are able to stay in shape and enjoy the freedom that comes with healthy joints, there is the crowd affected by arthritis, joint dislocations and trauma, ligament tearing and so on. And in such cases, joint pain treatment courses are sought after. Joint pain treatment with glucosamine has recorded huge success, especially in restoring joint mobility.

One of the reasons why joint pain treatment is carried out is because joints become sore and inflamed when the cartilage is worn out. Cartilage is the connective tissue found at the joints. It ensures that articulations at the joints are fluid, without the bones rubbing into each other. When this cartilage is not produced in adequate amounts, or gets worn out faster, the joint becomes less effective, and pain is felt whenever there is movement. And this is the error that creates the need for joint pain treatment, which is done using glucosamine.

Though glucosamine as a supplement in isolation has been seen to work, it is sometimes combined with chondroitin sulfate for greater effect, especially when the pain from the joints is exceedingly intolerable. The commonly retailed forms of glucosamine include glucosamine sulfate and glucosamine hydrochloride. The recommended daily dosage for glucosamine in reference to joint pain treatment is 1500 mg per day. This could be in one pill, or in three 500 mg pills. But there’s more to glucosamine, and a more detailed approach is needed to gain the understanding.

Celadrin – Your Friend when Your Joints are In Need

Posted by Yaniv Levari in Joint pain treatment... | 09.11.2010 - 10:54 pm

No matter the kind of joint pain treatment you are undergoing, Celadrin will provide sustainable relief.

You experience lower back pain (a form of sciatic pain) when you lift things with your back instead of with your knees, and Celadrin can help alleviate that pain as you learn the right lifting postures. Knee joint pain treatment has been successful with Celadrin as well. Even for the more serious joint problems like the different forms of arthritis, Celadrin has shown exceptional results. While it does not get rid of arthritis as a medical problem, it increases joint mobility and drastically reduces the effects of pain and inflammation.

Joint pain treatment with Celadrin has received praise for its effective restoration of elasticity and fluidity in the joints. Understanding the specifics will help you appreciate it the more. It contains compounds (esterified complexes of fatty acids) that help restore the fluidity of the cell membranes throughout the body. In the joints, the fluidity makes the joints more mobile by providing lubrication. The cells affected, therefore stop secreting the inflammatory compounds that cause inflammation when the joint pain treatment is in full effect. The joints thus become more flexible and allow for movement without becoming stiff or overworked.

It should be noted that joint treatment with Celadrin does not replace the need to have a consultation with a rheumatologist or a doctor in general. Even though it is used for joint pain treatment, Celadrin is a supplement, meaning it adds to the advantages gained from other joint pain treatment therapies sought. With continued use of Celadrin for your joint pain treatment, you are guaranteed healthier, more flexible joints, especially when your genetic history predisposes you to degenerating joint diseases such as osteoarthritis.

Chondroitin – A Joint Pain Treatment Paradox

Posted by Yaniv Levari in Joint pain treatment... | 09.04.2010 - 11:31 pm

The problem with diseases like arthritis and osteoporosis is that they are not curable. On the bright side, these diseases are not fatal and thus they do not share a lot of the limelight as does diseases such as cancer or even herpes. However, arthritis and osteoporosis still cause a great deal of discomfort and pain, especially to older people. Thankfully, there are more and more medications available out there for joint pain treatment. One of the more recent developments for joint pain treatment is chondroitin.

These degenerative diseases become more prominent as one gets older. Joints are made of cartilage and a lubricating fluid that keeps this cartilage from supposed wear-and-tear. The fluid’s main job is to reduce the friction on the cartilage, as it is the main pivot point in the joint areas. Over the course of life, this fluid gets replenished and the cartilage gets repaired. However, for old people, whose regenerative qualities are not as good as the younger ones, this fluid is not as effective and the cartilage is not repaired. This causes pain and swelling in the joints and sometimes even deformation. The commonplaceness of this disease has brought rise to the need for chondroitin. It is actually one of the molecules that make up the cartilage in the joints. Cartilage would need all the repair materials for it to be able to reconstruct itself. Chondroitin is supposed to help in this very aspect by giving the older population that needs joint pain treatment the required building blocks. Chondroitin is responsible for cartilage being more resilient and strong and the importance of this is not only in repair but also in durability. Chondroitin is a drug that can be taken orally for joint pain treatment. Although relatively new, chondroitin is quite promising, although in a very unorthodox way.

Although the oral ingestion of chondroitin for joint pain treatment is supposed to increase cartilage formation, studies have not proven this to be the case. People have not showed increase in cartilage formation in any joints found in the body even with oral chondroitin supplements. However, on the bright side, people that do take chondroitin for joint pain treatment have somehow showed fewer arthritic symptoms and lesser pain than those who do not take chondroitin.

All we have to wait for are long-term studies and then chondroitin would be a lot more used for joint pain treatment.

Joint pain treatment – how to avoid joint pains?
When we talk about joint pains and ways to treat joint pains, we must be aware of the differences between drug treatment and care by taking nutrition supplements.

Ostensibly, to speak about the differences between the dietary supplements and between drug treatment is to speak about a very broad topic.
however, it is important to know the essential difference between the approach of the pharmaceutical companies, and approach of the nutrition supplements manufacturers, that the difference in their basic concept is what makes the difference.

The goal of pharmaceutical companies is to keep their customers in a state of “not sick”. In this state, the customer has his hope to soon be cured, but he does not aware to the fact that we will stay in that state forever, if things will go better with him. This way the pharmaceutical companies produce pills for life.
As opposed to this concept, the basic concept of food supplements manufacturers is to keep their customers in a state of “well”. Those companies put all they efforts to produce  a way to effectively prevent the sickness. However, preventing is also a – whole life process.

So, if both of them, pharmaceuticals companies and nutrition supplements companies produce a whole life process, where is the difference between them?

The difference between smart and clever is that: Smart knows how to solve problems. Clever knows how to avoid problems.

Now, what would you prefer? to solve your problem? or to avoid them?

There are a lot of problems to handle, to solve and to avoid. The problem with the joint pain treatments, is that those pains are a life changing pains.

Life changing pains means – live with the feeling you cannot do the basic activities you did your whole life, like jogging, climbing stairs, walking and sometimes even standing, without feelings those horrible pains, not to mention people who used to do some sports activities,  like riding a bike, playing basketball of golf, touring or even swimming.

The secret is – listening to your body. Examine your body everyday. As early you’ll be aware to a new pain, it will be easier to handle it, and even to avoid it. As lately you’ll be aware to a new pain, as hard it will be to handle it.

Take care of your body. Avoid joint pains. Find the best joint pain treatment you can, so you can quickly get back to live a normal life, a painless life, a vitality life.

Joint pain treatment – the 4 secrets

Posted by Yaniv Levari in Joint pain treatment... | 08.19.2010 - 6:40 am

Joint pain treatment is based on the four secrets, which are not secrets at all.

The four joint pain treatment secrets are : Glucosamine, Chondroiten, MSM and Celadrin.

Joint pain treatment – secret no. 1 – Glucosamine

Glucosamine is a natural component made up from glutamine (amino acids) and glucose (sugars). This substance is taken by the human body to aid mend weakened cartilage and body tissues. The human body creates glucosamine at a peak degree when you are younger. This operation of glucosamine development retards down as we went old. The slow down yield of this substance leads to muscle or joint problems such as arthritis.

Joint pain treatment – secret no. 2 – Chondriotin

Chondroitin is a molecule that occurs naturally in the body. It is a major component of cartilage — the tough, connective tissue that cushions the joints. Chondroitin helps to keep cartilage healthy by absorbing fluid (particularly water) into the connective tissue. It may also block enzymes that break down cartilage, and it provides the building blocks for the body to produce new cartilage.

In multiple clinical trials, Glucosamine and Chondroitin have been found to work synergistically to help maintain joint health, as a great Joint pain treatment

Joint pain treatment – secret no. 3 – MSM

Sulfur is a naturally occurring mineral that is found primarily near hot springs and volcanic craters. It has a distinct “rotten egg” smell, caused by sulfur dioxide gas escaping into the air. As a supplement, sulfur is available in two forms — dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and methylsulfonylmethane (MSM). About 15% of DMSO breaks down into MSM in the body. Both have been touted as treatments for pain.

Joint pain treatment – secret no. 4 – Celadrin

Celadrin is a patented blend of cetylated fatty acids (CFA’s) that have been stabilized through a proprietary process of esterifying oils. In addition, the CFA’s in Celadrin® have the effect of increased joint lubrication. The prime role of Celadrin® appears to be its ability to enhance cell membrane health and integrity.

But, the biggest secret of the Joint pain treatment is: combining those 4 ingredients is the thing that makes the difference, between having a pain relief, and having no pains at all.

Is that make sense to you?
